Gene Variant Protects Against Anemia in HCV Tx (CME/CE)
(MedPage Today) — Genetic variants in the inosine triphosphatase gene can strongly influence the success of antiviral therapy for hepatitis C virus by protecting carriers from anemia, and a retrospective study suggested a possible role for genotyping at least some patients.
