ACG: Colectomy Risk Cut With Mucosal Healing (CME/CE)
SAN ANTONIO (MedPage Today) — Patients diagnosed with ulcerative colitis who achieve mucosal healing after eight weeks of treatment with infliximab (Remicade) have about a 95% chance of avoiding colectomy in the following year, researchers reported here.
